I had 5 more students get their library card in the last week! Way to go! I hope you get lots of fun books!

Way to go Stephen!

Awesome Shea!

Super Lanijah!

Great Je'Riyah!

Wonderful Alexis!

Tomorrow is our big Thansgiving Feast! So far we have crackers, cheese, veggies, and some fruits! Mrs. Reed may also have a few treats as well! We also started making dreamcatchers today. I can't wait to post pictures of those finished! Check back soon to see more pics!

We Love Technology!

I have posted another project on Donors Choose for materials for our classroom! I would love to have 2 digital cameras and 2 microphones for our computers. Over the summer I learned how to create podcasts and want the kids to start creating their own. If you visit the class website and click on Podcasts you will see the short video I created. I would love to have all the supplies stay in the classroom instead of bringing my personal camera and microphone back and forth from the classroom and home. I also want the kids to feel like they have their own tools. Check out the project here! Send the link to people you know who would love to help out your child and our class!

Do You Have a Library Card?

This past Monday I issued a challenge to the class. The challenge? I want everyone in the class to get their own library card! So far Kylie and Katelyn have earned their 10 Glen Gold Tickets!

If everyone in the class succeeds at this challenge, we will have a class celebration! If you have lost the application that was sent home you can access it here, or you can just visit the Indpls Marion County Public Library website. In order for a child to recieve a library card you must be present with your child and have one of the following: Birth Certificate of child, Social Security card of the child, Current school ID or report card, or Immunization records.

I hope to reach our goal!

Book Reports

Last months book report assignment was to read a mystery book and create a haunted house poster board displaying the story elements of your book. These projects turned out even better than I imagined!

Here is Jeren's project over Scooby Doo and the International Express.

Here is Nate's project over Huggly's Halloween.

November's book report is to read either a book about Native Americans or Pilgrims. Then create a Native American house or the Mayflower and label each with 5 facts you learned. I can't wait to see what the kids create this month!
