Dinosaur Writing

After studying dinosaurs somuch, the children had to write a dinosaur story using one of the three prompts:

1.If I were a dinosaur...

2. If I lived during the time of the dinosaurs...

3. If I had a pet dinosaur...

Dinosaur Crazy!

This week we are learning all about dinosaurs and fossils! So far we have learned that fossils can be bones, plants, and even imprints (of footprints, bones...)! We have learned that all dinosaurs are extinct (which means they aren't alive anymore). We have also visited the computer lab to do a webquest on 9 different dinosaurs. Computer Lab

This semester one goal I had was to get the students in the computer lab. I want my students to be able to navigate through technology better than most children. This way, they can be leaders when they go on to 3rd grade. When we go to the computer lab, we always have a purpose and I try to incorporate exciting assignments like Wordle and their Autobiography ptojects. They are become technology gurus by the day!
